“Women’s Voices in Fabric”
She Speaks Too exhibition in London explores the beauty of design philosophy.
The taye_speakeasy Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a profound exploration of the modern woman, exploring the philosophies of freedom, mobility and existence through the lens of physical art, using fabric as a vehicle. Drawing inspiration from the vow of “ever thine, ever mine, ever ours.”, the brand reflects on the intertwining of time and
space in the physical world, how women can shape themselves in this eternal flow, and how they can define their independence in the midst of invisible constraints.
In our design, we give each piece of fabric a physical property - such as the reflection, refraction and absorption of light. Just as women
experience emotional fluctuations and rational challenges in every moment of their lives, fabrics take on different faces under
different lights, symbolizing women's adaptations and transformations in the complex social and inner worlds. This change and uncertainty is the core of what we want to express - the flexibility and infinite possibilities of a modern woman navigating through multiple roles.
